Re: EUFAM

I am not a solicitor, so I can't give you certainty on how your case would be processed. You could seek to prove that you have never been an undue burden on the State and have sufficient resources to not become one, as well as prove that your stay would be beneficial to the Irish State, but this is ...

Re: EUFAM

There are no publish guidelines on what would be considered good reason to allow a person to keep their EU FAM. What has been seen in past posts on this forum is that ISD officer are quite "by the book" on these situations and will check the minimum requirements to allow for the applicant'...

Re: What happens after 1 year of post study work visa?

The legal pathway, as described on https://www.irishimmigration.ie/wp-content/uploads/2024/03/guidelines-for-degree-programme-students-january-2011.pdf , is as follows: It may be possible to stay in Ireland after you complete your studies for the purpose of seeking employment under the Irish Third L...

Re: Reckonable Residence Start Date for Naturalisation

I got similar advise and ended up applying 2 months before I thought I could, but in your case 10 days is very little.

Maybe wait the 10 days just to be on the safer side. It is going to be a long journey, so peace of mind is worth those extra days.

Re: CSEP With Prior Legal Issues

Hey Friedrich, Good of you for turning your life around and managing to build up yourself after a low point. I did some research on the Critical Skills Employment Permit process and have not found any question related to previous offenses/convictions, so I do not expect that you will be asked that q...

Re: Naturalisation stamp evidence

You can always put in a Subject Access Request with ISD and get your previous visas from them, however if you have your previous IRP cards should be completely fine.

The passport pages are mostly to show your time outside of the State.

Re: stamp 4 EU Fam + new Family

Citizen's information says the following: Non-EEA students coming to Ireland for the first time may not get permission to stay in Ireland if they have their children with them or intend their children to join them later on. So I don't know how they would treat a pregnancy. Maybe reach out to an immi...

Re: Doubt in visa changing process

No that's incorrect. Brazilians have a visa waiver to Ireland for 90days. Even if the person is illegal, so far as that person is married to Irish national, he/she can request for permission and register at the Garda Immigration office. It just won't be straightforward as just showing up at Garda t...

Re: Irish citizenship by naturalisation

When I apply for citizenship, will i be able to renew my stamp4 in the meantime if my stamp4 expires? Then my wife could cont. to renew her stam1g? You need to keep a valid visa throughout the whole process. You should be able to renew your stamp 4 and your wife to renew her dependent visa. When yo...

Sorry, so I am a bit lost now. Previously you said the following: My current visa is expired for awhile because I was in Brazil for family matters. So then how are you legally in Ireland if your visa is expired? I am not a solicitor but if you are in Ireland without a proper visa, then it might comp...

Here are two government websites with the information you need, including the important note that your partner is not automatically entitled to bring you to Ireland. https://www.citizensinformation.ie/en/returning-to-ireland/residency-and-citizenship/returning-to-ireland-with-your-non-eea-spouse/ ht...

Re: stamp 4 EU Fam + new Family

Well, I don't know if you are doing anything illegal but surely if you are planning on sponsoring a visa for her then you are certainly doing something that is not going to work out in your favour. Stamp 4 EU Fam visa holders are not allowed to sponsor anyone's long term visa, so I do not know which...

Re: Irish citizenship by naturalisation

Well, the difference between both of your timelines is just one year, and your plan for her to apply based on your newly granted citizenship sits on the assumption that you will be granted the naturalization, and will receive your certificate, within less than 1 year. Given that the chance of this h...

Re: Stamp 4 EuFam + Retention + Non eu with long term residency

Well, the visa you have is still stamp 4 EUFAM, correct? So from what the Department's website, and Citizen's information website, you can't sponsor anyone's visa. Your two best options would be to contact a solicitor and listen to the legal advise, and second would be for your spouse to get a visa ...

Re: Questions regarding stamp 4 and critical skills work permit

I am not a solicitor, so I can only answer from my, and coworkers', experiences. On question 1) I couldn't find any restrictions on the Irish citizen sponsoring a new non-EU citizen's visa, however I would not put it pass the Department to scrutinize the application. On question 2) When you are on C...

Statement of citizenship for ceremony attendees

This is a question out of curiosity after reading the comments people added to the post-ceremony naturalisation certificate timeline thread. It is beyond stupid and non-sensical the decision made by the Department of Justice to stop handing new citizens their naturalisation certificate at the ceremo...

Re: Traveling with a Certificate of Naturalization

You need to contact DRPCustomerservice@justice.ie for Stamp 5 and 6, it is not directly through the website. Yes, but as it doesn't provide IRP, I have huge doubts a visa national for Ireland will be let on a plane with this stamp. It is valid to send an email to the airline you normally fly with a...

I checked with them when renewing my visa and that is the answer that I got.

Why wouldn't airlines let you in? You have a valid passport and a valid visa.
