fiancée visa cash saving question

Post by wildhill » Thu May 09, 2024 7:07 pm

Hi guys
Hope everyone well

My fiancée and I have total combined cash saving more than 114k, my question is that those savings from both of us can be used towards the minimum income requirement?
For example (£114000-£16000)/2.5=£39200

Or it has to be worked out twice using by the above formula? As my fiancée‘s saving in oversea bank account and mine is in uk account.
For example:
my fiancée‘s saving (£76000 equivalent-£16000)/2.5=£24000
My saving (£38000-£16000)/2.5= £8800

£24000+£8800=£32800 which will not be enough if we change to spouse visa next year as the minimum income is £38700 by early 2025

Thanks in advance for any helps and comments
